So here it is. The band is Plants and Animals from Montreal. Another Canadian indie band. Not a collective though, so we are safe. They've not been literally burning up the charts, but those in the know, know!Unfortunaltey they are playing V fest. Not sure if i'll get a ticket for this one. Kinda want to but not really.I dont think i can sit through another one of Gord Downie's off the cuff poetic rants and be played of as revolutionary ( we get it, the gun had a rope tied to it's trigger) Certain people will disagree. But come on seriously, if The Hip weren't Canadian they wouldn't be releveant.Will Plants and Animals be releveant in 20 years.... Maybe not, but it's a damn good tune for Now!

So here it is. Nothing much to say about this song/video. Typical Killers tune. Rock opera. Yet the video plays out as a reminiscent montage. Those crazy 50's!!!

So here it is. This band put out an epic album a few short years ago. It was met with mixed emotions critically. And you know that a lack of critical fame, would make the album that much better. From Brooding verses and choc full catchy chorus' the album The Boxer delivered, and delivered well. They have followed up with a new album due out later this year. Don't fret though. Thanks to Dark was the Night fundraiser, they lent their "So far around the bend" tune to the compilation. Enjoy

So here it is. Being chased in the woods, late at night by a beaver. Friend or Foe?
Ok, lets clarify that, being in the woods late at night and hearing "ruffling" around your feet.While you take a drag of your cigarette... remember its pitch black... Ok wait a sec. Woods/Darkness/Beaver= no place for me. So Foe. Now if you are someone unlike me. You may have never been in this situation. As a recreational outdoorsman ( drinking in the woods) i've came across many animals, wild and not so wild.

What do they have in common you say? Yes, they live in the wild woods. They are also names of bands. Bands that i'm diggin at the moment.

So here it is. I've never been a fan of the Nutini.Yet this album works for me right now. I'm going through a lilith fair phase, chick lit in music ( Lykke Li, Marina and the Diamonds,Lisa hannigan). This dude isn't too far away from the afore-mentioned artist's.The wee man from Paisley has blessed us with a Jazzy,Big band, Reggae chilled flavour album.

Standouts: Ten out of ten,Candy, Pencil full of lead.

The Start

So here it is. The start of "the blog". I'm sure i have a ton of things to say. But i'm in a hurry to go on an "Adventure".
